Creating a better world out of nothing. Is that possible?
Perhaps this is the millionth attempt in living memory to make the world a better place. However, we don’t want to be too naive and believe that an art project can make the world a better place. Nevertheless, or perhaps precisely because of this: what is stopping us from creating something good? We are world champions at destroying things. Perhaps we can also achieve a notable position in creating.
My name is Raphael Dudler and I am a Swiss artist and the initiator of this project. The motifs shown on the kissnotes – except for the lips – are my works.
And with the name “Swiss Kiss Bank” and then Kiss Treasury and finally kissnotes, I want to position the project very close to the reality of the financial world. Apart from that, a Swiss Kiss Bank would be something nice, wouldn’t it? Well, it exists now! That’s a pleasure. And who knows how the project will develop and what it will achieve with “In Love We Trust”… We have an exciting journey ahead of us. Join in!
People have always been fascinated by money. It is also fascinating how our money is created and how value is created.
This project deals with precisely that: value creation.
Anyone who is interested can take part. And since we cannot simply print money ourselves – unlike the banks – it is kisses that are created out of nothing and can be lent out, very similar to how money loans work.
The world cannot be kissed enough!
The project thus illustrates how values are created and how they come into circulation. A little lesson in economics.
But when I talk about a better world, I don’t just mean creating kisses and then demanding them from a counterparty in exchange for the kissnote – asking for them. No. There can only be a better world if those who have something can give something to those who have nothing. And we don’t need to talk about what justice, diligence or other pretexts speak against or for something.
The fact is that millions of people go hungry and starve to death every day, especially children, and the blame certainly does not lie with those who suffer. That is why income from “interest income” (that’s what I call the payment for lending a kissnote) is largely passed on to the starving world population. Either as donations to aid organizations or, should the project become BIG, also in aid campaigns on our own initiative by bringing food to the poorest areas of the world – without any financial or other interest.
